Can this extension use addresses from external database ?
The extension doesn't connect to external databases directly. However, you can export your data from your database as a CSV, KML, or GeoJSON file and then import it into the extension. This gives you flexibility in managing your address data.

Yes, that's correct. If you're working with an external database, manual export and import is currently the only available method.
